A Good Year

I'm currently reading Peter Mayle's A Good Year after watching the film with Russell Crowe in it. Why am I reading it? Well, for the food, wine and women, of course! ;D

And the fact that this is a nice break from all that dystopia.

Oh, and the hilariousness of the characters.

By this time, Christie was anaesthetized. She had arrived at that stage of overeating reached by certain species prior to hibernation and was barely capable of movement or thought, conscious only of an instinct to curl up in a quiet, dark place.

It's great stuff that goes quite well with this balmy weather we've been having lately.

And the film's not half bad, either. It's worth the watch - beautiful Marion Cotillard is in it. ;D
